These are very useful techniques that you may never use, let’s take a closer look at these six of them.
If you want to improve your focus skill when using the camera, here are 6 tips to help you focus faster, easier.
Lock focus
In some situations, your camera will focus on points that you do not want. May be the subject’s surroundings are interference that makes the camera unable to read the data to focus accurately. Or when you take a picture through a window, but the camera focuses on the window instead of focusing on the subject you want.
Locking focus is the quickest way to keep your focus on the subject you want. This function is very useful when you want to rearrange your photos.
Use the focus in the behind
In most cases, we slightly press the shutter button to autofocus. This feature is used naturally and appropriately in most cases. On Nikon and Canon, cameras have a focus button so you can use them. This feature is useful in situations where you need to capture moving objects that make the camera focus automatically.
AI Focus / AF-A
Most people shooting moving subjects will think of AF-C mode, which is continuous shooting mode. But if you notice you will see another mode that displays the same is AF-I for Canon or Nikon DSLR cameras.
This mode will automatically adjust between the two original modes when your camera needs. When your subject moves, the camera automatically switches to the second focus mode.
This feature is useful when shooting unpredictable subjects’ movements such as pets or children, or even focusing on a person in the crowd.
Hide the AF assist beam
Most cameras have autofocus assist beam so you can focus in low light conditions. This feature is useful, but sometimes, you want to turn it off to avoid disturbing others. In addition, when shooting macro shots, animals will be scared if the lights on. In this case, you should turn off to keep yourself secret while shooting.
Touch to focus
If you own a touchscreen camera, you can focus on subject easily by touching the screen. This feature is very useful when you use the screen to arrange instead of using the viewfinder.
Adjust autofocus
Cameras and lenses should always be inseparable. However, many lenses when used on different cameras provide the different focus. As a result, manufacturers have added a focus adjustment feature to the camera. However, you absolutely do not make the physical impact on the lens.
